Gates, multipliers, and traps

The whole game is reading gates correctly at speed. Green and blue gates help you, red gates and traps hurt, and the trick is always spotting which of a pair is worth more before you reach it.

Growing the crowd is only half the point. Every level ends in a collision with an enemy crowd, and the side with more stickmen wins the brawl. Spending coins on upgrades

Runs pay out coins, and you spend them between levels to make the next attempt easier. The two upgrades worth buying first are a larger starting crowd, so you begin every level with more stickmen, and stronger gate bonuses, so the good gates give you even more. Investing early snowballs, since a bigger start and better multipliers feed off each other on every run after.
