The Sossusvlei sand dunes are located on the edge of Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namib Desert, about 100 miles away from Deadvlei. While both spots offer a beautiful sightseeing opportunity in this desert, it’s even more enjoyable to visit them at different times so you can see how they change throughout the day or year!
For example, if you visit at night time when there is no sun for light (it becomes dark quickly), everything will be lit up by your headlights and each grain of sand will glisten like diamonds. If you are visiting during daytime hours, changes occur too – depending on how hot it is outside! Some parts become pinkish or yellowish while others remain golden brown with every ripple.
